Vanilla jam cookies


  • 100 gms all purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 70-80 gms castor sugar
  • 2-3 drops of vanilla essence
  • 50 gms softened butter
  • 7-8 tbs strawberry jam


  • Creme butter and sugar
  • Whisk in egg and flour and essence
  • Make a soft dough
  • Keep in freezer for 10 minutes
  • Make small walnut size ball
  • Now roll out them not too thin
  • Make small finger mark on top of every cookie and spoon in the jam
  • Bake them at 180C for 10-15 minutes until golden brown and crisp
