Choco fancies

For sponge cake


  • 100 gms all purpose flour
  • 100 gms butter
  • 100 gms castor sugar
  • 100 gms butter unsalted
  • 1 tbs baking powder
  • 3 large eggs


    • Cream the butter and sugar together
    • Add eggs one by one beat with butter until fluffy
    • Strain the dry ingredients
    • Fold in the flour spoon by spoon
    • Add in the vanilla essence
    • Preheat the oven 15 minutes at 180C
    • Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes 
    • Check with fork in between

    For chocolate coating


    • 100 gms of dark chocolate chopped
    • 50 gms unsalted butter


    • Boil water in bowl
    • Make double boiler
    • Add the ingredients
    • Allow it to melt for 20 minutes
    • Cool it

    For white chocolate sauce


    • 50 gms white chocolate
    • 25 gms unsalted butter


    • Make a double boiler
    • Put all the ingredients 
    • Melt for 20 minutes
    • Cool it

    Procedure for choco fancies:

    • Cut the sponge cakes into square pieces
    • Dip the pieces into the chocolate sauce
    • Drizzled white chocolate sauce over it
    • Sprinkle your preffered nuts
    • Allow in refrigerator to harden
