Butter Cake


  • 100 gms unsalted butter
  • 100 all purpose flour
  • 100 gms of castor sugar
  •  1 tbs vanilla essence
  • 1 tbs of baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 tbs of butter to be melted


  • Cream the butter and sugar together
  • Add the eggs one by one
  • Beat them until light and fluffy
  • In another bowl add the dry ingredients and seive them
  • Add the vanilla essence to the egg mixture
  • Fold in the flour
  • Mix them with cut and fold procedure
  • Bake it at 180C for 30-35 minutes
  • Melt the butter and drizzle over the cake
  • Its buttery and yummy
