Curried cottage cheese dumplings

Ingredients:

  • 300 gms of cottage cheese mashed with 2 tbs of flour,1 tbs salt,2 tbs sugar rolled into small balls
  • 2 tbs onion paste
  • 1 tbs garlic paste
  • 1 tbs ginger paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbs of poppy seed paste
  • 1tbs cashew paste
  • 1 tbs of cumin paste
  • Sugar to taste
  • 3 green chillies slit
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbs fresh cream
  • 2 tbs ghee or clarified butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • 2 tbs tomato puree
  • 1 cinnamon stick,2 cloves,2 cardamom

    Procedure:

    • Deep fry the cottage cheese balls until golden brown
    • Keep aside
    • In a pan add oil cinnamon,cloves,cardamom,bay leaf cook until flavor comes out
    • Add onion,ginger,garlic paste
    • Add tomato puree
    • Add turmeric,red chilli powder,cashew nut paste,poppy seed paste
    • Add salt,sugar
    • Blend it properly with until oil seperates
    • Add in the cheese balls
    • Pour the ghee/ clarified butter from top

    Grate some cheese for garnishing.

    Serve it with steamed rice
