Sooji/Rava/Samolini Uttapam


  • 1 cup samolini
  • 1 cup whisked yoghurt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped vegetables -tomato,onion,green chillies
  • Grated cheese


  • Fry lightly the samolini
  • Add the yoghurt 
  • Beat them properly
  • Add water until thickened like pancake batter
  • Add salt and baking powder 
  • Leave for 30 minutes
  • In a hot griddle brush white or butter
  • Add laddle full batter
  • Slightly spread it
  • Add the chopped vegetables from top
  • Wait one side get brown 
  • Flip it and press the vegetable side
  • Wait until brown
  • Grate cheese from top

Serve hot with sauce of your choice
