Lobster cooked in green coconut


  • 1 large green coconut water seperated and mouth open wide
  • 5-6 lobsters slightly fried with turmeric and salt
  • 100 gms yoghurt
  • 1 large onion paste
  • 2 tbs ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tomato pureed
  • 1 tbs cumin powder
  • 1 tbs coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 tbs mustard paste


  • Add oil in a pan
  • Add onion paste,ginger garlic paste,tomato puree
  • Fry until oil seperates
  • Add all the spices,salt
  • Add yoghurt
  • Add mustard paste
  • Fry until oil seperates
  • Add the lobsters and coconut water
  • Simmer for 10 minutes
  • Now put all the lobsters and gravy into the green coconut
  • Microwave the total set up at 180C for 20-25 minutes
  • Set aside for 5 minutes

Serve hot with steamed rice
