Mustard leaves cooked with spices or Sarso Ka Saag


  • 2 bunch of mustard leaves chopped
  • 1 tomato roughly chopped
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 1/2 inch ginger paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2-3 slit green chillies
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 1/2 tbs fresh cream


  • Add oil to the pan 
  • Add garlic,ginger to splatter
  • Add chopped onion
  • Salt
  • Tomatoes cook until softened and oil seperates
  • Add the chopped mustard leaves
  • Move your laddle until everything softens and oil seperates
  • Add fresh cream
  • Cook for more 5 minutes
  • Allow it to cool
  • Now blend them together

Serve it with roti/tortilla with blob of butter
