Homemade tomato sauce


  • 1 kg tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup salt
  • 2-3 tbs oregano
  • 2 tbs sesame oil


  • Boil water
  • Immerse the tomatoes for 3 minutes
  • Then take out the tomatoes
  • Immerse in ice cold water for 5 minutes when the skin shrinks

  • Now scoop out all the seeds
  • Make fine paste of the tomatoes
  • In pan add the oil
  • Add the oregano
  • Add the tomato puree
  • Add salt and sugar
  • Stir until a thick consistency is reached
  • Laddle it in a sterilised glass jar

Use with pizza,pasta,french fries
