Prawn beer batter

Ingredients:

  • 600 deveined prawns in butterfly form
  • 300 ml beer
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • Crushed pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes
  • Oil for deep fry
  • 3 tbs lime juice

Procedure:

  • Marinate the prawns with lime juice salt and pepper
  • Make the batter with remaining ingredients
  • Dip the prawns into batter and deep fry

Serve hot with mayonnaise or tomato ketchup
