Marble glazed vanilla cookies

Ingredients:

  • 100gm all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 80gm castor sugar
  • 100gm butter
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Milk (optional)

For glaze:

  • 1 egg white
  • 8 tbs powdered sugar
  • 1 tbs creme of tartar or white vinegar

For decorations I have used food colors. You can use anything of your choice like rainbow sprinklers or sugar candies.

Process:

  • Creme* the sugar and the butter together until you get a smooth and fluffy consistency
  • Then add the vanilla essence and egg and beat it thoroughly
  • Sieve together the dry ingredients and mix all together
  • You must get a doughy consistency and it should not be too tight so if required add some milk
  • Chill your mixture for at least 30 minutes, chill means just refrigerate never freeze
  • Now scoop them on baking sheets and pop them in the pre heated oven at 350 F for 18-20 minutes

After them leave them to cooling rack for 20 minutes

Now for glazing:

Beat together all the ingredients until you get a clear white mixture very partially thick

Coat all your vanilla cookies with your glaze and decorate with colors or sprinklers of your choice

*creme- creme means beating sugar and butter to a creamy fluffy mixture
