Grilled tangris( grilled drumsticks)



  • 8 chicken drumsticks or tangris
  • 3tbs softened butter
  • 1tbs lemon zest
  • 1tsp garlic and onion powder mix
  • salt to taste
  • 3 tbs yoghurt
  • 2 tbs tandoori masala
  • 2 tbs green chili paste( make it spicy according to your choice)
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garam masala or all spice
  • 2tbs mustard oil or olive oil
  • 2 tbs ginger garlic paste


  • I took chicken with skin
  • Make a paste of softened butter,salt,lemon zest,garlic powder and onion powder mix
  • Push this butter mix into the skin and message it
  • Make a mixture of yoghurt,chili paste,ginger garlic paste,tandoori masala,garam masala,oil and salt
  • Coat the drumsticks with this
  • Leave it for at least 4 hours
  • For better result overnight
  • Preheat the oven at 425F
  • Bake it for 45 minutes
  • Flip it halfway through
  • Broil the chicken for 2-3 minutes at high temperature
