Spicy cauliflower curry with potatoes and peas

It is a simple recipe with simple ingredients which makes it more comforting and tasty.


  • 1 1/2 lb cauliflower separated into florets
  • 2 large potatoes peeled and diced
  • 1 large tomato roughly chopped
  • 1 tbs whole spice mix (1 cinnamon, 2 cardamom, 3 cloves freshly grounded)
  • 1 tsp whole cumin
  • Make a spice mix of 1 1/2 tbs cumin powder, 1 tbs coriander powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder add some water so that you can make a paste
  • 1 cup fresh peas
  • Salt to taste
  • 1tbs clarified butter
  • 1 tbs ginger paste
  • 2 green chillies paste


  • In a pan add some oil
  • Fry the florets golden brown
  • Keep them aside
  • Fry the potatoes and keep them aside
  • Now in that pan add clarified butter and 1 tbs oil
  • Temper with whole spice and whole cumin
  • Add 1 tbs ginger paste and green chilli paste
  • Now add the tomato cook until oil separates
  • Add the spice mix and also cook until oil separates
  • Add in the potatoes cook for 5-7 minutes and add the cauliflower now
  • Add some boiling water to it
  • Simmer for 15 minutes
  • And now add 1 cup green peas and again simmer for 10 minutes

This what you will get

Serve it hot with steamed rice or rotis(tortilla)
