Piri piri chicken

Friday night starter is always special and weekend fun begins. Me and my family loves to spend the weekend, with a tasty yummy food and a blockbuster movie. This Friday I made this dish to enjoy the evening.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken cut into 8 pieces with slit marks
  • 4 tbs piri piri masala
  • 1 whole lime juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbs mustard oil
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt (optional)

For Piri piri masala

  • 1:1 ratio all spices must be mixed
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • Paprika
  • Chilli flakes
  • Oregano
  • Whole black pepper
  • Ginger powder
  • Garlic powder
  • Lemon zest

Grind all of them into fine powder

Procedure for chicken:

  • Whisk up all the ingredients above with yoghurt
  • Message the chicken properly with the marinade
  • Refrigerate it whole night
  • Put it in the oven at 180C for 35 minutes
  • Grill for next 5 minutes

Serve hot with lemon wedges and mayonnaise 🙂
