Avacado egg rolls

This is a dish which I had in The Cheesecake factory. The dish was recommended by one of our friend but it doesn’t make me feel very tempting to hear about it. But when I took the first bite, I had a feeling that after a very long time… I was surprised with a dish with a feel good taste. It made me feel lets do a replica of it.These Cheesecake factory copycat avacado egg rolls are creamy, crunchy and tasty and are super easy to make anytime.

Type: appetizer

Time: 25-30 minutes (including preparation time)

Serve: 4

Ingredients:

  • 8 egg roll wraps
  • 2 semi ripe avacado
  • 1 medium sized tomato chopped
  • 1 tbs chopped garlic
  • 2 tbs chopped chillies
  • 4 tbs chopped red onion
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbs honey
  • 1 tbs garlic powder
  • 1 tbs oregano
  • 2 tbs lime juice
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 1 egg

Procedure:

  • In a bowl scoop out the avacado
  • Chop them into chunky pieces
  • Add all the above ingredients except the egg
  • Mix them properly and cool them in the fridge for 30 minutes
  • Now break the egg and whisk it
  • Take one wanton sheet
  • Brush the egg wash on all 4 sides
  • Put a spoonful of avacado mix in the wanton sheet
  • Now slowly make a envelope and seal the filling properly
  • Refrigerate the rolls for 30 minutes
  • Now heat oil in a pan to deep fry
  • Deep fry the avacado rolls
  • Serve it with hot sauce or tomato sauce or any sauce of your choice

Tips:

  1. If anyone want to make it a no onion, no garlic dish they can add cilantro to it
  2. Try to refrigerate it to make it a crispy egg roll
