Yellow dot jam cakes

Jam cakes are a sweet dessert layered with your choice of jam in it. You can make it simple by only layering a sponge cake or you can elaborate it.

Ingredients:

  • 120 gms all purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 100 gms butter softened
  • 120 gms castor sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbs baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 drops yellow colour
  • 1 baking sheet
  • 20 gms strawberry jam
  • 3-4 drops vanilla essence

    Procedure:

    • Cream the butter,sugar,eggs,essence
    • Mix the dry ingredients together
    • Seive them together
    • Fold in the flour to the butter sugar mixture
    • Take a small bowl
    • Take 2 tbs of the mixture
    • Add 1 drop of colour mix
    • Take a flat baking tray
    • Place the baking sheet
    • Add small drops evenly throughout the baking paper
    • Refrigerate it for 30 minutes
    • Pour the cake mixture over the drops when set
    • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until baked at 180C
    • Spread the jam mixture evenly
    • Slowly roll it over
    • Don’t worry if cracks occur

    Slightly cut the jam cakes

    Children will love if you serve this kind of cakes to them 🙂
