Moong dal or yellow lentil soup is an everyday vegan, vegetarian Indian recipe. It is a no onion, no garlic dish and is very healthy. You can include it in your kids diet.
It is very tasty accompanied by a flavors of cumin,ginger and subtle taste of green chillies.
You can accompany this soup with basmati rice, a side of a vegetable dish and raita( a yoghurt dip)

Ingredients:
- Petite yellow lentils(moong dal) 150 gm boiled(red lentils can also be used)
- 1 cup of mixed vegetables (carrot, green beans, sweet corn)
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 green chillies
- 1 tsp whole cumin
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp clarified butter
Procedure:
- Add 1 tbs oil to the pan
- Now add whole cumin to it
- Add ginger paste
- Add the vegetables
- Add the boiled lentils
- Add the turmeric powder
- Now bring it to boil
- Add some clarified butter from top and serve
