Chicken biriyani recipe||Fastest and easiest

Biryani also known as biriani, birani or briyani, is a mixed rice dish with chicken or meat.
This dish is especially popular throughout the Indian subcontinent, as well as among the diaspora from the region.

It is made with spices,rice, meat (chicken, goat,prawn or fish), vegetables and egg.

This chicken biryani is an aromatic, mouth watering and authentic Indian dish with succulent chicken with fluffy rice, fragrant spices and caramelized onions.

It is easier than most recipes while truly retaining the authentic taste and presented step by step.

Making Biriyani requires 3 steps:

  1. Making Biriyani masala
  2. Marinating the chicken
  3. Boiling the rice
  4. Assemble everything in a pan

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups basmati rice or any long grain rice
  • 1 lb chicken
  • 5 tbs beaten youghurt
  • 2 tbs red chilli powder
  • 3 tbs Biriyani masala (homemade)
  • 2 tbs ginger-garlic paste
  • 3 tbs chopped green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 1/2 cup fried onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped coriander leaves
  • A pinch of saffron soaked in milk
  • 2 large potatoes diced and fried using the turmeric and Biriyani masala
  • 1/2 cup clarified butter

Step 1:

Making the Biriyani masala:

  1. Take 4-5 green cardamon
  2. 1 cinnamon stick
  3. 4-5 cloves
  4. 1 nut meg
  5. 1 mace
  6. 1 star anise ( optional)

You just need to grind this ingredients to fine powder and that’s all

Step 2:

Marinating the chicken:

  1. In a bowl add the chicken
  2. Add the Biriyani masala
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste
  4. Chopped green chillies
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Red chilli powder
  7. Beaten youghurt
  8. 3 tbs clarified butter
  9. Chopped coriander leaves
  10. Fried onions
  11. Keep aside

Step 3:

Making the rice:

  1. Soak the rice for 30 minutes and drain the water
  2. Now boil the rice with 2 cloves, 2 green cardamom and 2 drops of lemon juice until half done
  3. Drain the water

Step 4:

Assembling everything:

  • Take a deep dish pan
  • Add the clarified butter
  • Now add the marinated chicken
  • Cover and Cooke for 10 minutes on a medium high flame
  • Remove the cover you can see some oil has separated
  • Now add the parboiled rice on top of it
  • Add the remaining fried onions
  • Add the saffron soaked in milk
  • Cover the pan with aluminium foil so that no air leaves the pan
  • Secure it with with lid
  • At first cook the Biriyani ata medium high flame for 10 minutes
  • Then cook for 25-30 minutes at a low flame
  • Give it 5 minutes standing time
  • Uncover the Biriyani
  • Your Biriyani is ready to serve
