Classic Cheesecake||easy steps to perfect cheesecake|| silky smooth and creamy dessert

Cheesecake is a sweet dessert consisting of one or more layers. The main, and thickest layer, consists of a mixture of soft, fresh cheese (typically cream cheese or ricotta), eggs, and sugar. If there is a bottom layer, it often consists of a crust or base made from crushed cookies (or digestive biscuits), Graham crackers,pastry, or sometimes sponge cake. It may be baked or unbaked (usually refrigerated).
Cheesecake is one of those recipes that can be intimidating. Anything which is a bit finicky and have a fancy name, generally fall out frome one’s baking zone. But believe me this fancy version of cake doesn’t require any ektra skills but care to be perfect.

Type: Dessert

Preparation time: 25-30 minutes

Cooking time: 1 hour for baking + 3 hours for chilling


  • 3 packets of 16 oz or 450 gm cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 120 gm sugar
  • 1 tbs vanilla essence
  • 8-10 biscuits grinded
  • 2 tbs melted butter


  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • In a mixer ground the biscuits and add 2 tbs butter
  • Now mix them to get a semi doughy consistency
  • Now take 9 inch springform cake tin
  • Line the base with this biscuit mix
  • Evenly spread the mixture for the base
  • Chill it for 1 hour, in between lets prepare the Cheesecake batter
  • In a bowl add 3 cream cheese bars (softened)
  • Add the sugar
  • Start beating them
  • Slowly keep on adding the remaining ingredients
  • Beat until you get a creamy smooth consistency
  • Now pour over the biscuit base
  • Level from top
  • Add some chopped pistachios from top
  • Secure your cake tin with aluminium foil
  • Put the cake tin in a deep dish oven safe pot and add some hot water for the steambath
  • Bake it for 1 hour
  • Keep it in the warm oven for another 1 hour after turning the oven off
  • Now put the cheesecake in the refrigerator for minimum 2 hours
  • It’s ready to serve

You can add any nut of your choice, we’ve added pistachio

You can drizzle some chocolate sauce or raspberry / strawberry sauce from top
