How to make chicken lollipop||a perfect appetizer for party menu

Chicken lollipop is a great appetiser and a great menu for party. It is Indo-Chinese fusion recipe.

The perfect appetizer, these tender chicken lollipops have a light and crisp batter. They’re served with delicious hot, spicy and sweet sauce. So much better than takeout. The sweet, salty and spicy flavors hit every taste bud, meaning you finish your meal feeling completely satisfied.
They even work as a main dish – along with some rice or noodles

To make chicken lollipop you will need drumetts or whole chicken wings which is frenched to chicken lollipop shapes. I have shown the process how to french a lollilop as clearly as possiblr in the video below😊.

Type: Starter

Preparation Time: 25-30 minutes

Cooking time: 15-20 minutes

This will require 3 steps :

1) Turning the wings to lollilop

2) Marinating the lollipops and making batter

3) Making the sauce

Now for the step 3,you can skip but we will suggest you to go for it…. It will add an extra zing to your lollipops

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 lb chicken wings
  • Clean the wings
  • Now turn your wings to lollipop (the detail process is shown in the video)
  • In a bowl take the lollipops
  • Add 2 tbs red chilli powder
  • 2 tbs chopped ginger, garlic and green chilli powder
  • Add 2 tbs dark soya sauce
  • Add 2 tbs white vinegar
  • Add salt to taste
  • Add 2 tbs freshly crushed black pepper
  • Add 1 beaten egg
  • Now for the batter
  • In a mixing bowl add 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 tbs corn starch
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tbs red chilli sauce
  • Add water to make a semi thick batter
  • Now dip the lollipops into the batter and deep fry them
  • Fry until golden brown
  • Keep them aside
  • For sauce:
  1. In a pan add 2 tbs white oil
  2. Add 2 whole red chillies
  3. Fry when aroma comes
  4. Add 1 tbs green chillies and ginger chopped
  5. Add 2 tbs tomato ketchup
  6. Add 2 tbs red hot sauce
  7. Add 1 tbs dark soya sauce
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 1 tbs red chilli paste

Tossing the lollipops for an added flavour

  • Pop the lollipops one by one in the pan where we made the sauce
  • Toss the chicken and evenly coat with the sauce
