Eggless chocolate cake with chocolate cream cheese frosting|| perfect for birthdays and big gatherings

Who doesn’t like chocolate cake that too with rich cream cheese chocolatey frosting.

We made many cakes in my blog…but this time it’s a bit different as it’s an eggless chocolate cake. Plus bonus,recipe we’ve added a chocolate cream cheese frosting.

This amount is ideal for a two 9 inches cake.

This can easily made on birthdays and on big gatherings. It is very easy,and takes just 15-20 minutes of your preparation time and baking takes just 35 minutes.

Type- Cake

Preparation time- 15-20 minutes

Cooking time- 35-40 minutes

Ingredients for the eggless chocolate cake:

  • 3 cups of all purpose flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa
  • 2 tsp baking soda ( not powder)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 rd cup olive oil (or any cooking oil except mustard oil)
  • 1 tsp coffee essence (or vanilla essence)
  • 2 cups warm coffee liqour
  • 2 tbs vinegar

Procedure for the eggless chocolate cake:

  • Preheat the oven to 350F
  • Now in a bowl add the flour,cocoa, baking soda and the salt
  • Mix and keep aside
  • Now in another bowl add the coffee liqour,oil and the essence and the vinegar and mix
  • Now add the wet mixture to the dry mixture
  • You will get a one string batter
  • Cake batter is ready
  • Pour in a greased baking dish
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean
  • Cool down or allow it to come to room temperature

Ingredients for the chocolate cream cheese frosting:

  • 8 oz or 200 gm cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 th cup or 4 tbs unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tbs vanilla essence (coffee essence)
  • 2 tbs sour cream (optional)
  • 3 tbs heavy cream (optional)

Procedure for the chocolate cream cheese frosting:

  • In a bowl add all the ingredients and mix
  • First mix with spoon and then whisk with a beater and you will get a creamy chocolate frosting

Assembling the Cake:

  • In between make a sugar syrup or honey syrup
  • Add 2 tbs honey or sugar to 4 tbs water and mix
  • Our cake batter was good for two 9″ cake
  • Take one cake poke holes but don’t go end to end
  • Brush the syrup and it will keep it moist
  • Add the frosting and start spreading
  • Spread it evenly
  • Now put another layer and do the same
  • Cover the whole cake with frosting and decorate the way you like
