Chicken Chaapli Kebab|| Very appetising||no oven no tandoor kebab|| can be used as patty|| great item to add onto your party menus

‘Chapli Kebab’ is a very popular dish in Pakistan,it mainly belongs to Pukhtun cuisine.

It is mainly round and patty shape but flattened with the help of palm give them a shape of ‘chappal’ means slipper.

It has some of it’s ingredients vary from people to people,like some add scrbled egg,some add raw egg or some add both,but this recipe we’re sharing adding only raw egg. It can be made with chicken,mutton or any meat you are comfortable with. Goes as a starter with chutneys or can be used as an bun patty or can be enjoyed with roti, parathas or Homemade Butter Naan

So,let’s make Chicken Chapli Kebab…in my style๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿ‘‡

Type- Kebab

Preparation time- 15-20 minutes

Cooking time- 3-5 minutes each batch


  • 2 lb or around 950 gm chicken minced
  • 2.5 tbs ginger garlic paste
  • 1/2 cup deseeeded and finely chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped spring onions
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped coriander leaves or cilantro
  • 3-4 chopped green chillies (adjust heat accordingly)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup besan/gramflour
  • For the spices- dry roast 2 tbs cumin seeds,2 tbs coriander seeds,4-5 whole red chillies and then grind it
  • 1 tbs garam masala (optional)


  • Take the 2 lb chicken in a bowl,make sure the chicken is finely minced
  • Now in that chicken you can add all the spices you made and add salt to taste
  • Mix it thoroughly with hand
  • Add 1 beaten egg and mix
  • Now add the chopped veggies and mix
  • For binding add 1/2 cup besan/gramflour
  • If you want to marinate then don’t add the egg and the besan then
  • After marination add the egg and the besan/gramflour
  • Now take some chicken mixture on your greased palm and roll it and flatten it like chappal means slipper,that’s where the name comes chapli
  • Shallow fry until each side is golden brown
  • Fry on a medium flame
  • Each batch will take around 3-4 minutes
  • Take out and place on kitchen tissues
  • Enjoy it some hot green chutney
