Chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times. This meat is loved equally beyond all belief. Sear it,fry it,bake it – wat it the way you want to. Chicken is full of protein and easy to digest.This time we tried to make kebab with a twist in it. It is simply a crowd pleaser.Succulent juicy chicken pieces bathed in pickling spices and yoghurt will just blow your mind. It takes maximum of 30 minutes to cook.You can have it as a starter or you can add gravy and make a complete meal with rice.Okkk,let us start making achaari murgh tikka;
Type- Kebab
Preparation time- 15-20 minutes
Cooking time- 25-30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 lb boneless chicken (each cut into 70 gm pieces)
- For the achaari masala- 2 tsp onion seeds+2 tsp fenugreek seeds+2 tsp fennel seeds+2-4 cardamom pods+4-6 dry whole red chillies (dry roast and grind)
- 2 tsp chaat masala
- 2 tsp black salt
- 1/4 th cup dessicated coconut
- 2 tbs ginger garlic paste
- 1tsp garam masala (optional)
- 4 tbs yoghurt
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt to taste
- 3 tbs mustard oil
Procedure:
- In a bowl take the achaari masala and mix the chaat masala, black salt,garam masala and keep aside
- In another bowl add 4 tbs yoghurt
- And 4-5 tbs of the masala/spice we prepared
- Add salt to taste
- 3 tbs mustard oil and juice of 1 lime and mix
- Add the chicken pieces and mix very well
- Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best result
- Preheat the oven to 350 F
- Take some bamboo sticks and soak for 30 minutes to prevent burning
- Now pierce each piece into the skewer
- One skewer can hold around 4-5 pieces
- Now bake them for 9-12 minutes on one side and then flip and again bake for more 9-12 minutes
- Now change your oven mode to broil/grill
- Grill/Broil your kebabs for 4-6 minutes
- Flip and add butter and again grill/broil for more 4-6 minutes at high temperature
- Take them out and give a 5 minutes standing time and its done
