Kebabs are various cooked meat/chicken dishes with their origins in Middle Eastern Countries. Many variants are popular around the world.
Today we’re showing a unique dish,a very new variety of kebab i.e Resha Kebab.
It is full of chicken strings giving a gooey taste with crunch outside. Potatoes inside gives a creamy texture along with the chicken strings and the breadcrumbs gives the outer crunch.
Let’s start making Resha Kebab;
Type: Starters, Appetizer
Preparation time: 20-25 minutes
Cooking time: 10-15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lb boneless chicken (boiled and shredded)
- 1/2 lb potatoes roughly smashed
- 2 tsp chopped garlic and green chillies
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tsp red chilli flakes
- 1 cube chicken powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp crushed black pepper
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1.5 tbs all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tsp crushed black pepper
- 3 eggs beaten
- 2.5 cups of breadcrumbs
Procedure:
- In a pan boil the chicken with some salt
- Cool the boiled chicken and separate into shreds
- In a pan add 2 tbs oil
- Add 2 tbs chopped garlic and green chillies
- Fry well and then add 1 tbs ginger paste and mix until aroma comes
- Add the shredded chicken and mix well
- After mixing at this point add add all the spices
- Mix well
- Add 1/2 cup boiled potatoes mix and add crushed black pepper
- Add 1.5 tbs all purpose flour and mix
- You can see that still it hasn’t formed a dough yet
- Add 1/2 cup milk
- Give them a good stir
- At this point you can see slowly everything is coming together
- Now add salt to taste and 2 tsp of lime juice to make it more zingy
- Cool down
- Now take small roundels
- Give it shape and roll over breadcrumbs
- Now dip into the beaten egg and again roll over the breadcrumbs
- Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes
- Shallow fry the chicken until golden brown
