Sabudana kheer or tapioca pearls pudding or Shaboor payesh is a healthy sweet dish and is equally popular in all parts of India.
It is a very healthy dish and can be enjoyed during the time of fasting. It is also very easy to make. Just you need to soak it overnight and then boil in it water , transfer to milk and your dish is ready
So,let’s make sabudana kheer or tapioca pearls pudding or shaboor payesh…in my style 👇👇👇
Type- Dessert, Sweet
Preparation time- 5-6 hours in soaking
Cooking time- 20-25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sabudana or tapioca pearls
- 1/2 litre or 500 milk
- 2 cups of water
- 1/4 th cup chopped almonds
- 2 tbs raisins or kissmiss
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp saffron
- Chopped almond and raisins for garnishing
Procedure:
- In a bowl soak 1 cup saboo/tapioca pearls or sabudana with 1.5 cups of water for 5-6 hours
- Then drain the sabudana or tapioca pearls
- In a deep dish pan add 500 ml full fat milk (preferably full fat)
- Bring it boil and then keep on stirring
- Add 1/2 cup of sugar
- Add 1/4 th cup chopped almonds
- Add 2 tbs raisins
- Wait till the milk reduces
- On the other hand boil 2 cups of water and add the tapioca pearls or sabudana or shaboo
- When it becomes translucent add it to the milk
- Keep on mixing for 5-8 minutes on a medium flame and your sabudana kheer or tapioca pearls pudding or Shaboor payesh is ready
